This journey will take you out of Willemstad and into the countryside on the western side of the island where time seems to slow down for a laidback kind of life. We will visit a private forest at Santa Cruz followed by an afternoon on the beach at Playa Hulu.
1st PART OF THE JOURNEY:
Our first stop on this journey is a visit to “Hofi Mango” in Santa Cruz. This 59 acres’ privately owned nature reserve is located approximately 35 minutes’ drive from Willemstad. It is home to a restored sugar mill dating back to 18th century. The remains of the former rum distillery has been converted into a tropical terrace where our tour of Hofi Mango will start with a healthy bite and refreshment (no, not rum!). The visit to Hofi Mango will include a leisure walk in the garden, where you will learn about the spiritual importance of this location in the history of the island. At the end of the walk you will be invited to join a yoga under the trees session to relax, recharge and find your inner bliss.
2nd PART OF THE JOURNEY:
Next stop on the journey is Playa Hulu, just a short ten minutes’ drive away. There is no better way to release and recharge than on a secluded and quiet beach. This beach is one of the best kept secrets of Curacao, so much that most locals don’t know about it. Relax on the beach, listen to the waves, breath in the sea air and take a dip in the crystal clear water. The journey will end with a light yet tasty Caribbean picnic lunch on the beach.
This journey is only available on Tuesdays. Duration is approximately 6 hours, arriving at 10 am at the first stop and departing at 3pm from the beach.
There are 10 spots available on this exclusive experience with a minimum of 6 participants. It can be booked by a group or individually. You don’t have to fill all spots. This experience is meant to be social so other participants could join too.
Tour of Hofi Mango, hatha yoga (1 hr.), morning snack, refreshments, and picnic lunch.
